Start Point:     

Layby in front of The Lenchford Inn /Hotel WR6 6TB. In return for use of their facilities we are each asked to make a purchase. From Jnc 5 - M5. Take A38 towards Droitwich, take slip road to Ombersley stay on the A4133 until you come to a T junction. Turn right onto A443 and immediately right again onto B4196. Pub is approx. ½ mile on the right.


We start the walk through woodland, which is a Forestry Commission place of special interest, with ancient deciduous trees and famed for carpets of Bluebells. Dotted throughout the woods are pools, streams, bridges, abundant birdlife, houses and churches dating from Norman times. After lunch we pass a monastery, cottage gardens, old mill buildings and walk along Shrawley brook before finishing at the Lenchford Inn and a drink by the River Severn.  Bring lunch and drinks.
